What an Evening! On February 15, 2025, we celebrated our 25th anniversary together in the impressive Laurenskerk in Rotterdam. An evening filled with praise, gratitude, and wonder, where we had the privilege of glorifying God with songs inspired by Psalm 103. <\/p>\n

A quarter of a century of Jigdaljahu \u2013 a period in which we have passionately and devotedly proclaimed the gospel through music. What started as a group of dedicated individuals, driven by a deep desire to share God\u2019s message through song, grew into more than just a choir\u2014Jigdaljahu became a family. We have celebrated highs together and shared difficult moments. But above all, we look back with hearts full of gratitude. <\/p>\n

This is thanks to the culture bearers of Jigdaljahu, the driving forces behind this choir. Some are visibly at the forefront, while others work quietly behind the scenes\u2014in the board, committees, and organization. Yet all share the same goal: to convey the rich message of the gospel powerfully and musically with integrity. <\/p>\n

We are grateful for conductors like Willem Arie den Hertog, who set the musical course in 1999, followed by Jeroen Bal, Bert Noteboom, and, since last year, Arjan Wouters. Thanks also to organists Ron van Ommen and Marco den Toom, now succeeded by Mark Brandwijk and Sander van den Houten. Each with their own style, but all with the same passion for praise. A special thank you to Lennart Mor\u00e9e, our steadfast musical pillar throughout the years\u2014pianist, arranger, and composer. <\/p>\n

Thank you to everyone who was there, who supported us, sang along, and encouraged us. Your presence at every concert shows that this music touches you, that the message goes beyond mere notes and melodies.
Let us continue to sing, to give thanks, to pray, to believe. Because as Psalm 103 says: <\/p>\n

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
