On Friday, November 15, 2024, we were allowed to give a concert in the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht, with the theme ‘Desire’ as the central theme.
We sang songs that express our desire to be closer to God, such as ‘Psalm 42’ and ‘Psalm 63’. We recited from Psalm 143, among others, in which we read about David’s deep desire for God’s guidance.
Through songs like ‘Full of Awe’ and ‘Source of Blessings’ we looked into the heart of God. With the song ‘Jesus Paid it All’ we sang about how we as sinners find our fulfillment only in Christ, through His completed sacrifice.
We closed the evening with songs like ‘No More Night’, ‘O height and depth, praise God now’ and ‘The God of Hope’. Songs that sing of a new morning. For the pilgrims of God there will never be night again, but eternal light in His presence!
We hope and pray that through the music and the declamations you as a listener have experienced something of this comfort, hope and deep longing for God.
