This past Saturday, we gathered in the Nieuwe Kerk in Middelburg for a moving concert themed “From Easter to Pentecost.” A musical journey from the cross to the fire of the Holy Spirit — from brokenness to healing, from doubt to mission.
We sang of the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, of the Risen One who reveals Himself to His followers, and of the Spirit who moves people into action. Songs like “Vol ontzag” (“In Awe”), “The Lord Bless You and Keep You”, and “Lord, I Need You” touched hearts. The words from Luke 24 and Acts 2 sounded timely and powerful.
This concert brought us to the fullness of salvation: from Golgotha to the open heavens, from the cross to the fire of the Holy Spirit, from brokenness to healing. That path is illuminated by one Name, one Person, one Savior: Jesus Christ. It is about that Name—who touches hearts and heals wounds—that we longed to sing, bringing the concert to a close — with wonder, with conviction, with joy.
“Do you know, do you know that Name not yet?”
That Name is my Savior, my joy and my song.”
